Program Overview

The Canadian Workplace Skill (CWS) programmes assist newcomers to BC and Canada by providing a quality education and work experience in a Canadian business environment. Students select their programme of study for various types of business that most interest them and to which they plan to begin a new career path in Canada. During their studies and work experience, students will build stronger English and other communication skills, learn to work and study with people from diverse cultures, and build their confidence in a specialty area that will be rewarding and satisfying.

Throughout the programme, students learn to adapt to the Canadian culture and the typical work environment.

The programme contains 23 weeks of courses on the campus, followed by a 20-week co-op work experience arranged by the college: basically 5 months school plus 5 months working.
